’tis the season of the CANDY CANE!
i just love the little cane sticks of JOY! they make me all nostalgic
and make me think of sipping hot cocoa by the fire in my feetie pajamas with a peppermint stick right in the mug, trying not to eat the entire thing in 3 bites.
that reminds me…
are you a candy cane licker? or do you eat it like candy right away?
that sounded wrong.. get our head outta the gutter.
my husband and i were eating some candy canes the other day and i finished mine in about 30 seconds because bite.. bite.. crunch.. crunch.. dig it out of my back teeth, gone!
and he’s over there, jaw dropped, with is pointed-like-a-sharp-weapon candy cane from licking it.
i don’t mess around with my sweets!
i truly try to enjoy and savor the candy cane, but i ain’t got time for that!
ok ok let’s get to whipping up this easy-peasy chocoaltey-pepperminty-recipe i’ve got for you!!
Gluten-Free Peppermint Candy Cane Brownies
Preheat oven to 350 Degrees F.
step 1: in a bowl, combine all your dry ingredients (except the candy canes)
then in a separate bowl combine your wet ingredients and thoroughly combine.
step 2: pour your wet into the dry ingredient bowl and stir away!!
step 3: chop up 1 of your candy canes and pour right into your batter, mixing.
step 4: spray your baking dish then pour in batter
chop up another candy cane and sprinkle all over top of your brownie mixture and bake in oven for 25 minutes.
remove and allow to cool. when ready to serve top with your last candy cane, chopped as the ones already in the brownies will have slightly melted.
