How to make PERFECT Sweet Potato Fries

alright ya’ll! this is about to be the most GET TO THE POINT blog post you’ll ever get from me!
well i can’t promise that… but this is a post i’ve been getting TONS of requests on so let’s do this!!
if you follow me on Snapchat (TayloredFitness) you know i eat sweet potato fries like 3 times a day and make probably 4 batches a week.
and they’re PERFECT every single time!
how?! i’ve (tooting my own horn as i say this) perfected the tips/timing/everything on making the perfect sweet tater fry!
i did a step by step tutorial on Snapchat the other week but lots of requests came in if i could do a blog post as with Snapchat everything disappears after 24 hours. silly snapchat!
so here it is, in stone cold writing – so make sure to PIN it!
yes, i’ve done a blog post in the past on creating the perfect sweet potato fries, but i’ve done a few tweaks now with how i cut the sweet potato and timing, and this one is by far the end all game-changer for you guys!
so let’s get down to business!
The Perfect Sweet Potato Fries
whatcha need:
4-5 Sweet Potatoes
Coconut Flour Non-Stick Spray
Cinnamon
Preheat oven to 400 Degrees F.
Step 1: Begin to slice your sweet potatoes, but here’s the trick to making them the PERFECT size so they come out the perfect texture each time
after cutting one slice, cut that slice in half
then lay the two halves on top of each other and cut again down the center
creating 4 perfect little pieces, all equally the same size so this way they all cook evenly!
Step 2: On an aluminum foil lined cookie sheet, lay all your sweet potatoes on it, they do NOT all have to be laying perfectly and can be on top of each other, they’ll still cook, promise!
Step 3: Spray an even coat of your Coconut Flour non-stick spray all over your sweet taters!
then cover in cinnamon!
Step 4: Spray AGAIN another coat of Coconut Flour non-stick spray!
Step 5: Stick in oven and set timer to 20 minutes.
Step 6: After 20 minutes take out your fries and begin to ‘stir’ them up and flipping them with a spatula. This doesn’t have to be perfect and they don’t need to be laying flat. Just literally shift them around.
Step 7: Spray them AGAIN with another coat of Coconut Flour spray.
Pop back in oven for another 20 minutes, maybe 25 depending on how thick your cuts were to your fries, you’ll be able to tell if they’re done by poking them with a fork if they’re still hard or not.
Take out, and enjoy!!!
I always eat mine with a big squirt (or 6) of Organic Ketchup! The combination of the sweetness from the cinnamon and the saltiness of the ketchup is a WIN every gosh darn time!
So there you have it! My 100% perfect, every single time, sweet tater fries! I know a lot of you who wrote down the recipe when i did it on Snapchat have sent me snaps of your NEW addiction to the fries and have had success with these tips so i am SO happy to hear that and can’t wait to see more of you taking on this game-changer because who doesn’t love fries?!
