i couldn’t think of a name for the best snack/dessert recipe i’ve ever made so chocnilla swirl-tastic came to mind.
but the name does these babies ZERO justice.
just besides the fact that you’re like “chocnilla?” whatdafuq?
sounds like a dinosaur?
no, just me?… yeah…
but forreals, they’re so damn good, and so easy.
and they’re SLAP-tastic. maybe that’s why i thought of swirl-tastic & added a little ‘flava’ to it because anything made with SLAP protein powder is FANTASTIC, #duh.
yeah, i used a hashtag. and yes i’m rambling on per usual.
let’s get to the recipe, shall we?!
quick note: are you one of those people who sometimes get in that super serious life canundrum and cannot decide between chocolate or vanilla?
well here i am to save the day! because these sweet, protein packed, bites contain BOTH vanilla and chocolate and you can taste the differnece between both in each bite. so it’s not like “chocolatevanilla-ish” tasting. literally one bite will be chocolate-y and the other half (if you don’t shove it in your mouth all at once) is vanilla-y. WIN.
did that make sense? whateva if not, because you’ll feel me in a moment.
1 scoop Chocolate Slap Protein Powder (use code TAYLOR to save yourself 10%, holla!)
1 scoop Vanilla Slap Protein Powder
2 TBSP Jiff Whipped Chocolate peanut butter
2 TBSP Jiff Whipped Peanut Butter
1 cup oat flour (ground oatmeal)
1 tbsp cacao powder
1 tbsp maple syrup
1/2 cup almond milk (the unsweetened, 30 calorie shtuff)
step 1: in a bowl, mix 1/2 cup oat flour, cacao powder, 1 scoop chocolate slap protein powder, 1/2 tbsp maple syrup, chocolate PB and 1/4 cup almond milk
step 2: it should be very cookie-dough thick consistency. if too dry, add a little more almond milk.
step 3: scoop out and form into balls and place onto parchment paper. set aside.
step 4: do the exact same as steps 1-4 but with the Vanilla protein powder & the regular peanut butter
step 5: stick all dough balls into fridge to harden up a little.
step 6: after firm, take them out, and split each ball in half of both flavors. then simply flatten each out and “combine” it with the opposite flavor! to create a SWIRL-tastic bite of chocolate and vanilla!!
make sure to keep them in the fridge, so that way the room-temperature doesn’t make them all soft and mushy, no bueno.
i mean.. seriously.. how heavenly do these look? and so easy, right?! you can use almond butter if you want also, i just used the jiff whipped because it’s lower in calories/carbs/fat/protein; aka: MACRO FRIENDLY for all my macro counters out there. whoop whoop!
so if you end up with 15 balls total (mixed) these little beauties macros are:
i mean.. get outta town, right?! so crushing 3 in a row, really isn’t that bad and totally guilt-free!
now, excuse me while i leave my desk and head to the fridge to grab a few for myself to much on!
