Slap Nutrition, Clean Gains 101

alright ya’ll.. this blog post is way past due! i get asked a lot what supplements i use, take, recommend and what company specifically. i can proudly say the only line of supplements i have ever taken since starting my health and fitness journey is slap nutrition. not only is the owner behind the brand awesome, the products cannot be beat.
you know when you’re looking at a tub of protein powder who’s flavor just sounds unreal.. like you can already taste the sweet-cinnamon-bun-goodness on your tongue to keep those gains growing? but then…. you flip over the tub to read the macros and ingredients..
oh.. you can’t pronounce half the ingredient list? it’s about 5 inches long and words you didn’t even know existed let alone should be consumed on a daily basis?!
yeah, no thanks. i’ll pass!
hence the fact i am obsessed with all things slap. it’s 100% protein, 100% clean. no fillers, no additives, non-gmo…
gluten-free
dairy-free
oh and guess what?! you can pronounce every single ingredient!
and they’re only things you need. no excess baggage ya’ll..
because our hard earned gains aren’t worth the fillers, chemicals and over-dose of sugar.
not only do they have protein powder.. but they have most other supplements you need to keep your body and nutrition in tip-top shape!!

so i’m going to break down every single product slap offers, how to best utilize it and incorporate some clean gains into your life!
first up…
protein powder
chocolate is the staple in my infamous nightly-plate-of-chocolate.
you can get the recipe here for the waffle that is the base: “the perfect waffle”
it smells like chocolate, tastes like chocolate.. the way it should be!
because who doesn’t love peanut butter, lesbereal!
this ‘ish smells like straight up peanut butter, tastes so good and actually has a few flakes of peanut remains in it. hello all natural.
this one is delicious in my waffle recipe, in baked goods and just straight down the hatch after shaken up with some ice in a shaker.
i’ve created tons of recipes with all the protein powders throughout my blog, some favorites are:
Peanut Butter Crunch Chocolate Cheesecake Bars
Chocolate Peanut Butter No-Bake Protein Balls
vanilla – because sometimes is cool to be vanilla! this is a great one for the waffle/pancakes along with baking too as the flavor is very versatile.
cinnamon swirl. this was their first one and is easily one of my go-to’s still. actually it’s my mom’s favorite because she adds a scoop right into her oatmeal every morning. winning.
strawberry.. because yum. my favorite way to incorporate this one is a shake. straight up protein shake. this is like a dessert it’s so delicious.
slappy birthday, their newest one and it is a hands down win. probably right after the peanut butter one is this one on my favorites list. straight up in a blender with some ice, a splash of almond milk and it’s a party in your mouth! or like a birthday party!!!
it’s perfect for protein snacks, treats and baking too because the flavor is so dessert-friendly!
they also make travel packets if you aren’t sure what flavor you want to buy a tub with or are traveling and want to only take a few! these are perfect to keep in your purse shall you need to add in some protein throughout your busy day.

bcaas (which i go in detail on the blog post here🙂
this baby is flavorless which a lot of people are confused by and not sure what to do… which blows my mind because hello tons of options!! i get those flavor drops (this one is my favorite!), toss in a few ice cubes, water a scoop of these gains – add in the flavor drops and done!
there’s also this caramel flavor one which is so delicious!
my favorite way to enjoy these are to toss 3 ice cubes in a blender, a scoop of the powder, a scoop of the coffee pre-workout, water and blend. a legit frappe! bye starbucks, hello happy muscles and energy!! have this before you head to the gym and you’ll be on fiah!
bcaa’s need to be taken pre and post workout – and can be sipped on throughout your workout too if you want to keep on enjoying the flavor drops you added in!
glutamine (post workout and more in detail here:)
again, flavorless which is an a in my book! the same way i make my frappe pre-workout smoothie, i do with this after i train. in a blender, ice, 1 scoop glutamine, 1 scoop flavorless bcaa and one scoop protein powder, water and blend!! the best post-workout muscle recovery shake, ever. you can use any protein powder flavor but strawberry has been my go-to lately!
but also combining the caramel bcaa, glutamine and chocolate post-workout is heavenly as well!
pre workout
as i mentioned above… coffee!!!
you don’t get the jitters or heart racing with this pre-workout like you do with those other brands that have an ingredient list a mile long. you can energy, and sustained energy, with no crash because the ingredients in this is all you need and no excess stuff.
dragging at the gym? seriously… add a scoop of either of these flavors into your life pre-workout and you’ll be movin’ and groovin’ tossing those weights around!

if i’m out running erronds pre-gym and know i’ll need some protein and a pick-me up before hitting those weights, i’ll in a blender, put together the pumpkin and a scoop of vanilla protein and about 20 minutes before heading to the gym i toss back the deliciousness and get to it!! this combo is so good.
the newest addition is their greens powder!!!
i’m all about cookies, ice cream and living a balanced diet, but i also make sure to get my greens in on a daily basis. i’m an avid morning smoothie drinker and since getting these 2 newbies into my life, they’ve become a staple in my morning smoothie!
they not only both smell like candy but taste so incredibly good. i know you’ve tried those greens powders that taste like dirt and you try to overmask it with a banana, strawberries, and anything else just to get it down.
i can definitely say a scoop of this in a cup of water and it’s still so yummy!!!
